Environmental policy and legislation in the Argentine Republic under Milei government: continuity or rupture?
Por Claudia F Valls
Publicado por elDial.com
Debates concerning environmental governance in the Argentine Republic frequently reveal a persistent misconception: that environmental conflicts derive from an alleged insufficiency of legal regulation. A systematic analysis of the Argentine legal order, however, leads to the opposite conclusion. Argentina exhibits a long-standing and dense regulatory tradition in environmental and natural resources law, with normative antecedents extending well over a century. The core issue, therefore, is not the absence of law, but rather the dynamics of its interpretation, coordination, and enforcement within a federal constitutional structure.
